After Carmel healed a core spiritual blockage that had allowed abusive relationships into her life, her next step was revealed: she needed to find a new place to live. A place where she could begin her life anew, with herself, God, and love as her foundation.

Within 48 hours of that healing, she came across a townhouse advertised online and booked an inspection. The moment she walked inside, she felt welcomed — as if God Himself was inviting her home. She knew this was the right place for her.

There were four new housemates: a Colombian couple with their daughter, and a Chinese student named Ruofan, who was studying accounting. On Carmel’s very first night as she settled into her room, Ruofan brought home pizza for everyone to share. Later that evening, he knocked on her door and handed her a pair of earplugs. He explained that he sometimes played video games late at night and didn’t want to disturb her. These small gestures softened Carmel’s heart and helped her relax into her new home.

It was just a couple of months before Christmas, and when the Colombian couple traveled home to be with family, Carmel and Ruofan spent the next two months getting acquainted and building a natural friendship and partnership in the share house. For Christmas, Ruofan surprised Carmel with a pair of high-quality running shoes — the perfect support as she started her new job at a café. He would place food in her cupboard when she wasn’t looking, loan her money while she stabilized her finances, and invite her out for sushi, gelato, or coffee, even though she often found herself focused on her studies at Twin Flame Ascension School, Life Purpose Class, sharing Twin Flames with the world, and working her 9–5 job to support herself.

Ruofan built a lot of trust with Carmel, loving her unconditionally, even as she pursued someone else whom she believed at the time to be her Twin Flame. As their friendship deepened, Ruofan even showed interest in Carmel’s journey — reading Twin Flames: Finding Your Ultimate Lover and watching a free Life Purpose Class. After finishing the book, he suggested that maybe they were Twin Flames. But Carmel, still working through the experience of a false Twin Flame, wasn’t able to see the truth just yet.

Eventually, the landlords decided to sell the townhouse where Carmel and Ruofan had been living. Carmel began looking for places on her own, but nothing seemed to fit. Instead, she found another townhouse with two extra rooms available, and she and Ruofan chose to move in together with a South Korean couple.

Over the next year, Ruofan focused on his studies, graduating as an accountant, while Carmel dove further into her spiritual journey. She attended Twin Flame Ascension School and Life Purpose Classes weekly, attended discussion groups with her spiritual community at Twin Flames Universe, and supported the growth of the movement — which eventually became the Teachings of Union, housed under the Church of Union.

As the Twin Flames Universe community collectively ascended by working through their spiritual blocks, many Twin Flame couples attained Harmonious Union during the same period. Carmel, though she hadn’t heard from the person she believed was her Twin Flame in many months, could feel the heavenly vibration of victory spreading through the collective.

It was then that she received a call from her Twin Flame Gurus, Jeff and Shaleia, who compassionately helped her realize the truth: her real Twin Flame had been with her all along. It was Ruofan. When asked how she felt about Ruofan being her true Twin Flame, her heart knew the answer: “I feel safe with him.” The next day, she and Ruofan attained Harmonious Twin Flame Union.
